Junior Data Scientist

We are seeking a technically skilled and passionate Junior Data Scientist to join our international and dynamic Data Science department at AUTO1 Group Technology. Our team is divided accordingly based on the 3 brands and here at Auto1.com we focus on the sale to professional dealers. As a Junior data scientist, you will take part in developing innovative machine learning models that address a variety of challenges such as dynamic pricing based on market demands on Auto1.com platform, creating personalized recommendations for dealers, optimizing sales representatives calling priorities and forecasting demands on Auto1.com platform to make purchasing pricing decisions. We also tackle technical implementation such as feature stores as internal support for the entire data science department. We are excited to work with talented contributors. Job Description

• Assist in translating business needs into data science questions and contribute to the research and development of Machine Learning solutions that bring positive business impact
• Work collaboratively with engineering and product teams to support the deployment of data science solutions and their integration into the Auto1 technology infrastructure.
• Monitor the performance of models in production, prepare reports for stakeholders and assist in developing actionable next steps under guidance.
• Learn from senior team members, follow best practices and actively contribute to achieving project goals as part of a collaborative team

Qualifications

• A university degree in STEM fields or a prior work experience in data analytics and data science 
• Knowledge in machine learning algorithms on supervised and unsupervised learning 
• Demonstration of hands-on experience with SQL and Python for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling. 
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and experience in Github or Git is a plus.
• Ability to draw conclusions from data and recommend actions.
• Strong communication and visualisation skills to effectively present findings in a clear and concise manner.
